What is Skull and Bones?
What is Skull and Bones? Is a metal (former) band , now solo project by the brasilian musician Carlos "Spartacus", which born name is Carlos Fernando de Souza Silva, born in 10/02/1971. He is from Brazil, and writes all songs, and record all guitars, bass and eventuals synths in all songs. He does all vocals too, except in a 2013 song during the Brief passage of Julia (Beckenkamp) Thetinski on the band.
It has no affiliation or connection with the fraternity Skull and Bones, the name was chosen because the main themes of the lyrics are History, Conspiracy, Ufology and Historical revisionism.
How it started?
The band started in January of 2006 when workmates started to play for fun in the city of Farroupilha, on RS state in Brazil . Wagner Cansan (guitar), Clayton Ferri (Drums) and later Marcel Cousseau (bass) joined Spartacus in this enterprise. Wagner dropped out to study law and than joined Roger Silva on guitar. They recorded a demo called Dresden but short after this, one by one They left , and Spartacus keep the Dream working alone in his home studio.

After the other members have left , was released in 2009 the Roswell EP, and in 2010 a full leght called Skeletons Exhumed.
Spartacus moved to other city due his main job as public servant for electoral justice , and than find new friends
Josmar (Drums) and Diogo Tonial (Bass), and was released the album "Earth's Secret History". They joined in a covers project at first and later they helped in the recordings of the videos "Fake Moon Landing", "Admiral Byrd's Expedition" and "Noah's Ark" of the album "Earth's Secret History".
It becames a controversial subject, because many fans acused the album as not too much metal, indeed was more like a rock album. And for some circuls, these videos aquired the status of cult, because they were made at home, with green screen on a garage and effects that any high school kid was able to do.
That time of "Earth's Secret History" was a time that Spartacus focused the project on a less heavy but more Rock'n'roll feeling, lighter which the aim of the project.
Later, Spartacus move again to another town, a beach called "Imbé" , and he stood alone at line up again. He releases in 2012 the conspiratory album "Conspiracy, Aliens and Nazis", with lyrics again based on many conspiracies.
This album, altought was for sale as the others worldwide, was too officialy distributed for free at torrent network, and till the present were distributed 53 000 downloads worldwide (updated in january , 10th, 2015. (source : http://www.mininova.org/stat/13203790)
In 2013 Spartacus was tired to sing and play and tries to find a singer for his band. He wanted to direct his project to a more melodic and worked lines.
He founds Julia (Beckenkamp) Thetinski, an internet friend that he knew personaly at first time in an EPICA show . She had an awesome vocals and potential, and together they release the single Children of The matrix, a bit different style from other former works from Skull and Bones. Julia Sang in the song, Spartacus did all instruments and backing vocals.
But it didn't worked out due their different objectives and agendas.
Almost a year passed for Spartacus back in the scheme of one man band again, and two EPs
were released with 5 tracks each and was called "Ancient Aliens of Damnation" and "No Return Ticket To Mars".
In 2014 were released too 3 more singles, "Changes", "Lunar Strain" and "Waiting for Sleep". All discography is available at itunes, amazon and other mp3 stores worldwide.
